Terms & Conditions: Classes & Workshops

Chloe Forman, trading as Chloe's Dance Fitness Norwich

These terms apply to the dance and fitness classes and workshops I run directly. Hen/Party workshops have their own separate terms.

Part 1: Terms that apply to everything

1. Health & Safety

Everyone taking part must complete my health questionnaire (PAR-Q) before their first session, online or on paper. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and fitness. If you have a health condition, injury or are pregnant, please speak to your doctor or health professional before taking part in physical activity, and tell me about any change in your health. Take it at your own pace, wear suitable footwear and clothing, and stop if you feel unwell. If I'm concerned about your safety, I may ask you to sit out or stop taking part.

2. Age

Participants must be aged 16 or over. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to your taking part.

3. Liability

I hold public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, I can't accept liability for loss of or damage to personal belongings or vehicles, for injury or loss arising from a failure to follow instructions, or for anything arising from intoxication.

4. Behaviour

Please follow instructions and any venue rules, and be considerate of others. I may ask anyone whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, or who is under the influence of alcohol, to leave, with no refund.

5. Photos & Videos

Photos and videos may be taken at sessions and used for marketing and advertising purposes unless you tell me otherwise, at booking or before the session.

6. Data Protection

I use your details to manage your booking and for marketing purposes, which you may unsubscribe from at any time. See my Privacy Policy for more information.

7. Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you book applies to your booking.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Part 2: Workshops

9. Booking & Payment

Full payment is taken at the time of booking, and your place is confirmed once payment is received. Prices are shown when you book and may change for future bookings.

10. Cancelling or Transferring Your Place

  • 7 days or more before the workshop: you can cancel for a full refund, or move to another workshop if available.

  • Less than 7 days before: no refund is normally given. You're welcome to transfer your place to someone else if you let me know before the workshop starts, and I may offer a credit or other arrangement at my discretion.

Because workshops take place on a specific date, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to some online purchases does not apply. This cancellation policy applies instead. If you're late or don't attend, no refund is due.

11. Cancellation or Changes by Me

Workshops may be cancelled or changed (for example, due to illness, low numbers, venue unavailability or circumstances beyond my control). If I cancel, I'll offer you either a full refund or a place on another date. I can't be responsible for any other costs you may have incurred.

12. Timings

Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and start on time. Workshops finish at the advertised time, so latecomers may miss part of the session.

Part 3: Community classes (run directly by me)

13. Walk-in or Booking Required

My website states whether each class is walk-in or booking required. Walk-in classes can be attended without booking, subject to space.

14. Payment

Walk-in classes are paid for at the class, per session. Payment is non-refundable once you have attended. If I introduce passes or blocks in future, specific terms will be given at the time of purchase.

15. Cancelling a Booked Class

Where a class requires booking, please cancel at least 24 hours before to receive a refund or credit, or transfer your place to someone else. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.

16. Cancellation or Changes by Me

If I need to cancel or change a class, I'll let you know as soon as I can (for example by WhatsApp or email). If you've pre-paid for a class I cancel, I'll offer you a refund or a credit.

17. Classes at Other Venues

Classes I teach at gyms, leisure centres or sports centres are booked through those venues and are subject to their own booking, membership and health terms rather than these.

18. First Visit

You'll be asked to complete a health questionnaire (PAR-Q) before your first class. I'll have paper copies at the class, or you can complete it online beforehand.
